Tutoring:

How can we help your child?

Why Group Tuition?

Often when parents think of online group tuition, they worry that there will be too many children, so their child will not get the individual attention they deserve and need.

At Angel Education we will only be offering small group tuition with a maximum of six students at a time, helping to make tuition more accessible and affordable to benefit more children. Thus giving children the opportunity to receive the individual attention they need to support their learning.

There are numerous benefits to group tuition, including the enjoyment children get when working and learning with their peers.

How does Group Tuition benefit students?

The provision of group tuition enables children to learn collaboratively, successfully solving problems together. This can enhance a child’s confidence in their own ability, enabling them to apply their knowledge to unfamiliar situations/problems, in the security of the group. When amongst peers, children feel less alone, knowing it is not just them that struggle with a particular concept or topic.

The social factor also plays a part in group tuition, where children can support each other, look at a subject area from a new perspective. This teamwork can support children with remembering and retaining latest information.

For many children,  learning in a peer group with a healthy level of competition, friendship and support, with tutor guidance, makes accomplishing academic success enjoyable whilst boosting their confidence.

Knowing Your Child:

All children are different and as a parent, you know your child best, so the first thing we always do, is to have a chat with you.

After each lesson, you will receive feedback on how the learning went and you can ask any questions.

Barriers to Learning

Sometimes the gaps in a child’s knowledge and skills are not always obvious, or there may be something else that is holding them back. That is OK. We are experienced in identifying where children are at and what they need to do next to make progress. This could be:

  • Lack of confidence/low self-esteem.
  • Panicking during tests and assessments.
  • Self-pressure or external pressure (not feeling good enough)
  • Needing an extra explanation to help their learning.
  • Specific learning difficulties associated with conditions such as autism, ADHD or dyslexia, e.g. struggling to focus or sit still, language processing difficulties or needing instructions to be simplified.
  • Key skills missing, e.g. struggling with mental arithmetic.
  • Reluctance to try something in case they get it wrong.

Online Tutoring

Lessons are tailored to the need of your child. We informally assess their gaps in learning, then plan personalised lessons based on the National Curriculum to skyrocket their confidence, so they make amazing progress and love learning.

Recorded Tutoring

Our recorded lessons include engaging video lessons to work through and re-watch as many times as your child needs. We can help to relieve the pressure of not knowing how to explain strategies and vocabulary that are different to the way you were taught.
